“Burnt umber” makes me think of high school art class. That was always one of the available paint colors…
I didn’t say this at the time, but my birthday was last week! I quietly turned 32 while you weren’t looking.
Among the presents I got this year, my brother’s wonderful girlfriend Angie got me some stuff from Shiro Cosmetics! Nice! So, I thought I’d do a Face of the Day today rocking some of what she got me.
Thanks, Angie!
As you might have guessed, I’m calling this look Burnt Umber. If you ever took a high school art class, then you know what I’m talking about.
Face-wise, I used:
- Pixi Undercover Crayon under my eyes
- Pixi Quick Fix Powder all over
- Essence Sum Club All-In-One Bronzing Highlighter on the outer edges of my face
- Benefit Coralista on my cheeks
Lookin’ good so far?
The first of my birthday makeup, I’ve got Shiro Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Nic Cage Nibbling Petit Fours in a Posh Victorian Tearoom on my lips. That’s mouthful!
The Burnt Umber eye makeup is where it’s at. Here’s how I did it:
- The lightest, whitest, shimmeriest shade from the Maybelline The Nudes eye shadow palette at the inside corner of my eye and on the brow bone
- Shiro Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Girl on Fire, a nice shimmery orange, on my entire lid
- Shiro Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Nic Cage Raking Leaves on a Brisk October Afternoon, a dark brown shade with copper shimmer and sparkles, blended into the outer corner and crease
- Gorgeous Cosmetics iINK Liquid Eye Pencil on the top lash line and lower waterline
- Essence Lash Mania Reloaded Mascara on the top and bottom lashes
What do you think? I personally think it turned out awesome! Also, now I know how well Shiro eye shadows blend. Very well, you guys.
Thanks again, Angie!
