Happy Thursday, Filers!
Recently, I got a bunch of Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Pens and have been wondering what to do with them. Then, the other night, I had a brilliant idea: fire nail art!
I call it Play With Fire. Here’s what I came up with:
So fiery! Do you hear a crackling fire when you look at that picture? Because I totally do.
It turned into a matte fire nail art look. Here’s how I did it:
- Sinful Colors Nail Hardener as a base coat.
- Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish in It Girl as the yellow base color.
- Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Pen in Fine Orange in the middle of the nail, Fine Red from tip to near the middle and a bit of Round Black smudged at the tip.
- Butter London Matte Finish as a top coat to give it a dull, matte finish.
When I was using the orange and red pens, I was doing short, quick, thin lines. You can see it in the picture.
It ended up being a sort of artistic representation of fire, and I really liked how it turned out. What do you think? Does it inspire you to do your own fire nail art?
What’s on your nails right now?
Do you have a cool NOTD? Chipped nails? Bare nails?
Let’s chat about it in the comments!
