Makeup Files has been around for almost eight years now (wow!) and I’ve built up a pretty long list of Face of the Day looks. I thought I’d do a little reminiscing and look back at my five favorite FOTD’s since the very beginning of Makeup Files.

FOTD: Orange Smoke (January, 2010)
This was back when I started getting a really good handle on smoky eye shadow. It certainly doesn’t hurt that I followed a video tutorial on this one, either. I used products from Elite Pro, L’Oreal, Prestige and Lancome.
FOTD: Tropical (November, 2010)
This is when I first got Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, so I was doing some really bright, bold and colorful eye shadow looks. Even though this was forever ago, I still think I nailed it. I also used products from Sephora and Max Factor.
FOTD: Blue Leopard Print (December, 2011)
One day, back in December, 2011, I decided to do blue leopard print makeup totally on a whim. There was no occasion—I just wanted to do something different and cool. I even went to Walgreens like this! Honestly, I should do it again. For this one, I used products from MAC and Pixi.
FOTD: Halloween Skull Makeup (Halloween, 2013)
Okay, so this isn’t everyday makeup. This is Halloween makeup. But I’m still really proud of this. I wore it on Halloween, 2013, and had a blast. I used products from Pixi, Cover FX, Stila, NYX and others.
FOTD: Pink on Pink on Pink (November, 2015)
This is my most recent Face of the Day, and it’s also one of my favorites. Those colors are so dang vibrant and beautiful, and they matched my hair really well. I used products from Laura Geller, NYX, Bellapierre, Urban Decay, Gorgeous and IT Cosmetics.
That’s it! What do you think of by best-of-FOTD list? Don’t worry, there are plenty more new Face of the Day posts to come.
